A good Ham Radio Amp  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Motorola TLE1693A UHF

Received the UHF Amp today.

I Tested it in the Ham bands and it works great.

2watts in 30watts outputpower showing on my
IFR-1100s service monitor, also tested with
5watts in and it maded no differents on output power.

Test from 430-470MHZ with no problems

This would be a good amp for Ham repeater amp if all you needed was 30watt output or connect it to your HT for some more range to your local
Repeater.

Looking on the Back of the amp are two RF cables
the one to the left is the amp input the
cable to the right is the amp output this would be with the heat sinks faceing away from you with the RF cables coming out of the bottom amp faceing down.

Also the amp was a white control wire on the top
right side of the amp, connect this wire to the positive side of the power input. the same terminal you would be connecting your pos+ power supply, this mades the amp turn on.

RF power Transistor is a M9741 same as a NTE366 25w UHF RF output Transistor.

Two others RF transistor in this amp, and so far I can'nt find the Data for the RF Transistors(M9850) (M9851)must be RF drivers for the M9741 Final output.

All I have for info now 73's

Motorola UHF TLE1693A Amplifier

I will give this review a 3 for ok at this time.
I ordered this Amplifier off Ebay today and will
test it soon to add more info on this amp.

So far the info I have is:
(450-470 Mhz) UHF Amp,Used with Motorola Micor Repeaters.
The Ebay info said 20watts output and I saw some other info on the net that it could be 45watt PA.

I will also post some more info on this
Amp on my web page: www.radioprogramming.org
I will test this Amp on the Ham band Freqs
to see what will do and report back in at this site for a update.

73's for now W0TRJ
