Boom too short  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have had a 155BA-S "Long John" at 80ft. for over 20 years.

The boom is too short. One guy near LA lengthened the boom and he beats the tar out of me as does everyone in the SFV. The KT34Xa beats the tar out of me. It is useless in a PU until the locals work the DX.

I run power and know this antenna better than my wife. It is at the top of a group of monobanders so up it will stay.

Maybe the 155CA is different. I hope so. Calling a monobander a "long John" with 5 elements on a 26' boom is an advertising ploy.
