High Gain Dual Band Vertical  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I've just installed the Diamond X-400 and it provides about one S point of signal improvement over my previous Diamond V-2000 vertical. SWR is good on both bands (max 1.3:1). It's a big antenna though and flexes quite alarmingly in high winds. This also leads to significant signal variations on 70cm during high winds, due to the FRP fibreglass outer shell swaying and bending. I am not sure this antenna is going to stand the awful British weather and Atlantic gales we've been having lately. Remains to be seen!
