Be advised that this is for cable-ready TV sets. If you have a monitor then an ATVR4 is what you need. I have both. The TVC4G is used for demostrations and to provide an ability for EOC folks to receive video. My ATVR4 fills in the audio portion that the TVCG4 doesn't have.
TVCG also comes in a 12G models for the 1.2 GHz ATV bands. The ATVR has a similar cousin as well.
This is next on my list of gotta haves. while there isn't any 1.2 GHz ATV activity in my area, maybe I can change that. Someone has to be the first!
Anyway, It's important to be able to monitor exactly what others are seeing and the best way to do that is by recieving your own signal instead of picking the signal off from the transmitter. Just not as good.
