Great scanner value
|
Time owned: more than 12 months
|
I bought this scanner to replace my BC9000XLT, I
was hoping it would be close to the 9000 but found
out I like it better than the 9K, I use it as a
scanner/receiver. The big VFO knob along with being
able to select 4 - frequency steps, 3 different
modes with 10 search limit ranges and a digital S
meter that actually works well make this close to
being a general coverage receiver.

Awsome Scanner
|
Time owned: 6 to 12 months

Great sensitivity the CTCSS/DCS rapid decode is an awsome feature unlike GRE scanners where you have to either have it in DCS or CTCSS mode in order for it to search. The triple trunking is flawless and easy to program..This little gem does it all as long as you dont need digital and with computer controll you can program it and use text tags. The weather alert is a nice option it is good to see Uniden did it's homework.
The only thing I didn't like is the user manual it is poorly written..
