Outstanding

Hooked up between a Decibel Products 222MHz duplexer and Chip's pre-selector filters tuned to my input frequency.
Night and day difference in received signal quality (converted Micor) as opposed to receiver straight out of duplexer. Quiet, increases the useable signal nicely, and when combined with his filters, gets rid of a lot of extraneous schmutz and noise, not to mention a minor desense problem that came and went (until I went thru the system yet again with a service monitor and all the other test equipment) as the transmitter keyed sometimes. No, not a bandaid...I solved that problem, and this just was the last piece that absolutely made my machine rock.
Buy this puppy with absolute confidence. You will NOT be sorry.

Just purchased this pre-amp from Chip a month or so ago. Outstanding performance without raising the Noise floor on the repeater. I'd say, proably the best preamp device that I have ever purchased.
Preamp is connected to a 4 cavity DCI filter.

I have a single-stage model installed in one of the best 70cm repeaters in town. It provides just the appropriate gain (< 15dBm) after a BpBr duplexer and two bandpass cavities. No noise or intermodulation problems. It's well engineered, solidly constructed, and couldn't be easier to get going.
