Total isolation  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have picked up mine from a variety of sources. I even have a 10 position one. Its the only 10 position Bird 74 I have ever seen.

It is a very basic design. The "switch" is nothing other than a heavy duty housing with a piece of high quality, very flexible coax that is common to the source on one end, and is connected to an N connector center pin on the other end. As you switch from position to position, all you are doing is moving the center pin from one N connector shell to another.

If you use PL-259 connectors on your coax, you will have to get a number of N adopters.

In my station I use two. One to connect any of four transceivers to my amplifier, and the other to connect the amplifier and other transceivers and receivers to the antenna system.

These things new, I understand, are now four or five times what they typically sell on eBay.

EXCELLENT QUALITY  Time owned: more than 12 months
This high quality switch was purchased because of my less than diserable experiences using rotary mechnical switches (burnt contacts) PAID $104.00 ON EBAY, This is the only way to go, no more of that Ham Radio Junk Switches for me!
