At first glance, this product seemed to offer everything I needed for an inexpensive weather station. In fact, it operated nicely for about ten days. The remote sensor/transmitter operates on a CR-2032 lithium battery. It was installed on a wooden wall under the shelter of the roof eaves where rain and snow cannot contact the sensor. The base unit in my radio room is about 30 feet away. Sadly when the temperature reached -25 Celsius, the remote unit ceased to operate. The lithium battery has been replace twice. The base unit has problems of its own. The battery clips holding the two AAA cells have insufficient strength to hold the batteries securely. Hence, it takes very little vibration for them to lose contact resulting in the reset of the system. This model is not recommended. Put your $39.95 in the bank and save for a better product.
