Good Canadian Product

Not really interested in advertising, but find the articles of interest. Like any magazine, interesting articles will vary with your interests. At least it is Canadian! And written by and for Canadians! Can't beat the cost. What other magazine for hams is published for Canadians?

Dropped it after one year

Won a one year subscription at the Smith Fall's flea market. Never renewed it. Same advertisements every month, never really found the articles interesting. I renewed my subscription with QST.

TCA is a good publication geared obviously to the members of the Radio Amateurs of Canada, the national Canadian amateur radio organization. For a purely volunteer crew, TCA is full of informative and useful information. While the # of members of RAC is a fraction of the RSGB or ARRL, thus the resources that can be put to it are also quite small, the people putting it out do a good job. I am biased as I am a Life Member of RAC but I am also a Life'r with QCWA and QST and RAC basically keeps up with them in spite of the difference in membership numbers. Several columns are world class, my favourite being the awards column put out by Garry Hammond VE3XN. If you are a VA/VE, membership in RAC is a must, even if only for the magazine. If you are DX and want an interesting addition to your almost monthly reading, then TCA is for you.
