i have three digital ones  Time owned: more than 12 months
dont bother with this product
buy anything hako to replace it
the handles all suffer the same problems the weller products do.... broken wires... open heater elements
shorted blown fuses as a result
replaced all the handles and thats why... they are cheap
took it apart and replaced 2s945s on the main board becasue the thermostat went full bore and let the heater run continuously
repairing the zipped trace and replacing the entire handle and the fuse inside fixed it
other that there was nothing wrong with it
this is a pet rock

economical alternative to Weller  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
most of the useful temperature adjustment is in the range from about 2/3rds to max. Must allow 5 mins or so for tip temperature to stabilize. Instructions warn not to leave on and set to max when not in use.

Conical tip is small enough for thru-lead and SMT components.
