I ordered the SB97 along with Comet's RS730 trunk lid mount and Comet CK-5N N-connector cable. It has the very thin cable for the first foot or so.
I am very pleased with the setup.
I am using 2m and 70cm with my ICOM IC-91AD D-Star radio. I use adapters to connect it to the HR. It uses N connector because of the 23cm support.
The 23cm is for the future - though having it also helps the broadband receive.
I don't have other antennas to compare this to.
The Comet gain specifications looked pretty good. Some other Comet antennas have slightly better gain, but I wanted the 23cm capability for better broadband receive and the possibility of a 23cm D-Star radio in my future.
