Neat PSU
|
Time owned: 0 to 3 months
|
Got it a week ago and my conventional homebrew supply at last can retiere after 18 years of loyal service.
I love the small footprint, power output, low weight and multiple connection terminals (including a 10A cigarette lighter type terminal).
I've got to aggree with DO3MIB, the leds are a bit too bright for my taste (easy fix), but all in all: a neat psu.
No switching noises detected so far and the cooling fan is so quiet you have to to check it visualy to see if it's running (no kidding).
Worth every 89 euro I spent on it.
Just one thing: I just got a nasty shock after unplugging and accidentally touching the terminals of the mains lead, no harm done, no complaint, just don't try it yourself, it stings :).
I think it's the best bang for the Buck, or Euro.

Well done, Alinco!

This is a great little PSU. I got the european version (DM330-MVE). I use it to drive my 706, Autotuner and an Amp. Theres no problem, no noise. Neither in SSB nor on PSK the unit gets really hot, max power i need is about 24A. The vent is silent an comes on rarely.
The only thing i dont like: In a dark ambience the LEDs for Power and Preset are too bright. A resistor solved the problem.

Well, I got it on sale and its doing great. I like the preset feature that prevents you accidentaly puting extra voltage on your radio and the other great feature it does.
Great value for the price/money paid

Good PS..

I've had this PS for two years and found it to be very reliable powering a TS-480SAT or ProIII at 100w. It once displayed some switcher noise on 80m, but when I changed my antenna to a balanced configuration, the noise was eliminated.

Good value but not perfect

I go camping a lot and I love field days - for this, the little Alinco is great! It is solidly built, stays cool and is easy to transport. Does a good job in most instances. So why the 4/5? Under some conditions and depending on the exact physical installation (which is seldom the same under field conditions), some switching noise is still audible on some HF bands. Suppose you can't have it all.

Excellent Service

I am very pleased with this Alinco Power Supply. The eHam.net reviews were quite helpful and the guys at my Radio Club had high praise for this equipment, I like the meter and ability to monitor the power use. Both back and front access is highly desirable - I installed banana plugs that work well in the rear access and can use the front access for antenna tuner power.

Small and good power supply for any ham station.

Purhasing this product about year ago and been very satisfy.
First when i get it, i tested it with adjustable dummy load with 24A for few hours and dummy load gets hotter than this power supply !
If listen bands and found some noises from this power supply, there is knob (noise offset) where can tune noise away.
Voltage can set about 5V-15V DC.
One meter selectable voltage or current.
And what is good, bottom cover is four screws to main body and removing cover there is voltage selection switch for 110V to 230V
