A Great Job!
|
Time owned: more than 12 months
|
In looking at eham.net reviews, Tim looked like someone to try out...Boy am I glad!...After a quick phone call to him to explain that my old Kenwood TM-241 and Alinco DJ-580 were not functioning right, Tim said he'd be glad to look at them..I really wasn't sure that they were even worth fixing they're so old, but Tim said let's look at them anyway...Well, he got BOTH units up and running like new, and for WAY below the cost of new equipment...And to top it off, he sent a BILL to me, trusting I would return payment...He has a loyal customer here...
Top-notch work, a friendly fellow ham, and very reasonable repair costs...Can't beat that...Thanks Tim,

Tim is a very professional Repair Technician, his work is very thorough. He explained issues of my radio and what he needed to align. If you want a repair service that goes the extra mile, that has a fast turn-around time and is fair in his repair cost Tim is your man!

Did a nice job on my TS-830S
|
Time owned: more than 12 months

I had just replaced the finals with a matched set from RF Parts but also wanted the rig aligned and neutralization checked anyway. The radio was sent to Tim and he did a nice job on it. He checked the neutralization, replaced the driver tube, and aligned it. Since I was headed out to SD to points west of Watertown, we made arrangements to pick up the rig at his QTH in town. I met him at noon and had a nice chat - mostly about pheasant hunting. His parting words were 'I think you will notice a difference on receive'. That turned out to be an understatement. Very reasonable.

Time is the best test of anything. Tim has worked on many things at Burghardt amateur and now his Midwest Technical Severices. He has always been that special technician you want to find to work on any special project . After 35 years he is still a 10 in my book . Thanks Tim for going the extra mile for Perfection.

Tim is a smart guy, with great experience & skills. He bailed me out of an equipment issue for one of my own customers, and did a great job at a *very* reasonable price. I would highly recommend this guy to anyone!

Great Service

I found Tim a delight to do business with. I had phoned him first and he is easy going and knows his stuff. Once he received the radio, turn around time was quick. Matter of fact, the radio arrived long before I expected it as I had not remitted funds. I did not know the amount. The bill was enclosed and quickly sent him a check. Fairly priced and the rig, 850, was right on! Do not hesitate to do business with this fine technician.

Professional Service
|
Time owned: months
|
I recently had Tim work on my 1000MP. Two weeks and it was back in my shack (most of that time was shipping). Tim answered all my emails promptly. The repair costs were very reasonable. I will use him again when the time comes up. I would recommend Midwest to everyone.

Excellent service!

I was referred to Tim by a fellow amateur and made contact with him via e-mail. He promptly answered my e-mail and responded to questions about shipping, potential problems with the radios, etc. My son and I had Tim do repair work and tune-ups to a Kenwood 850S/AT, a 690S/AT, and an 830S. Tim's repair rates are very reasonable, he is honest, courteous and did the work on each radio in 7 to 10 days turn around time (including shipping). I would highly recommend him to other fellow amateurs.
