These headphones replaced a pair of Sony 7506 which ended up on my guitar amplifier. The 7506 were very good, but as Sony says, the 7505 is designed for detailed listening (translate that to cw). I have to agree with them. I have compared the 7506 and the 7505 side by side on cw and the 7505 wins hands down. Best phones I have ever used on cw.
