Straightforward, nice rig
Time owned: more than 12 months

This is as simple and basic a transceiver as you can get. Simple to operate and with typical Yaesu "feel" to the controls. I used one mobile for years and have a couple going in the shack. As mentioned they have occasional intermittents ... if it's not working, reseating the boards generally fixes most of the "hamfest specials". These things are heavy and well made. The PS/Speaker is hard to find, snag it if you run across one. Overall, a simple basic rig that works well.

Nice Old Rig
Time owned: more than 12 months
I give this rig a 5 for it's day. Made in the late '60s, it is an all transistor rig with a mother-daughter board construction. From time to time, the interconnects between the daughter boards need cleaned. This rig has a nice, clean sound and very easy to operate. This rig is hard to find at hamfests.
I owen two. Fun in a green box......
