Excellent Product and Value  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
This Power Supply and Battery Charger has been used for powering several of my rigs in the field and at home. Presently it is powering both the HF rig and a 550W output 12V amplifier. A 49AH AGM battery helps make up the current peaks which exceed 100 amps for the radio and amp combined.

I have tested this power supply with several different radios including the FT897 and Icom 756 Pro III as well as the TenTec Hercules II amplifier. So far I have not found any RFI from the power supply. The fan does not run until required, and when it does it is variable speed and very quiet. The supply is equipped with a short line cord and plug as well as output terminals that can accept wire sizes up to 2 gauge.

The Charge Wizard is the manufacturer's term for the built-in multimode charge management system with Boost, Normal and Storage mode voltages. This charges the battery quickly yet maintains it with a lower voltage when idle for long battery life and low water consumption.

I found my PD9260C on eBay for about $150 in new condition. The manufacturer also makes 30 and 40 amp units, both with and without the Charge Wizard. Models without the Charge Wizard put out 13.6VDC fixed. The Charge Wizard is available as a user installed option.

In use this power supply can be connected directly to 12V equipment and operate as a standard power supply. If standby power, or more peak current is required, a deep cycle 12V battery can be connected across the supply. The PD9260C will manage the battery charging and provide voltage to the load up to its 60 amp current rating.

So far I have not had any problems with this supply, and the capability of handling batteries and providing clean power at this current level for this price is an excellent value.
