Worked great!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Purchased the latest V4 version of this software so it DOES enable you to set the memory bank names!
Very easy to set all the parameters in the software - the headings are intuitive and it's MUCH faster than entering the settings into the radio by hand when you have over 100 entries!
Had initial difficulty getting it to write to the radio but that was operator error ("If all else fails, read the instructions!!"). I called RT Systems for help and had a most pleasant conversation with a woman who patiently walked me through the steps to get the radio programmed and pointed out where I had gone wrong.
Heartily recommended - product and support!

Worked well for me!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Very easy to use spreadsheet that allows you to set freq, alpha name, tone freq, power level, etc for all 200 freqs. You can assign each freq to any of 8 banks. Used a serial cable to connect to the FT-1802 and it downloaded the program info quickly. Only complaint, and a minor one, is that you have to manually input the bank names on the FT-1802, can't do it with the software but that's no big deal and only takes a few minutes. If you travel over a wide area this is some great software to have.
