Perfect low-budget computer control keyer

Just bought one from the last of the batch. I had the provided parts assembled in about an hour and a half. With a $5 USB to serial cable, two 1/8" jacks and an Altoids tin for a box, I was in business. I have been using RUMLog for control and so far neither has given me any trouble. I plan on putting the Winkey 2 through its paces when CQ WPX CC comes along.
As a Macintosh user, this device is indispensable, as direct keying with DTR/RTS type serial controllers aren't well supported. This has freed me from kludging along with WINE and CW Type.

Great product & fast shipment from K1EL. Some component value changes are not reflected in the v1.2 documentation - they are correct in the schematic.

If you operate CW and use a PC you are really missing out if you're not using a Winkey! Greatest thing since the electronic keyer.
This is pretty much the same as the WK1 with a few exceptions, you can either use it to run 2 radios or (by moving a jumper) you can use it to key an accessory (rated at 50vdc max switching) in addition to your radio.
The new WK2 serial has provisions for a sidetone speaker and external power.
For only 10 dollars more this would be the choice especially if you have a couple of rigs you like the run.
