Nice Design. Pity about the manufacturing quality.

As a result of comments made in other reviews of CWS ByteMark Baluns, I took off the cover, removed the RTV around the terminals in order to inspect the solder joints. Solder joints looked good, but the bolts holding the SO-239 socket were so loose that the socket could move around. Once tightened and resealed, the performance was OK up to about 26MHz. Above this, the network analyzer indicated a increasing mismatch. Certainly, not usable on 50MHz, and maginal on 10 meters.
What a shame that a good design has been spoilt by poor manufacturing quality.
