GREAT INEXPENSIVE STEALTH MOBILE ANTENNA!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I bought one for a trip to North Carolina. Paid $20.00. It performed excellent! I had no problem talking to anyone I could hear with it mounted on the skinny top of the back fender of the spouses mustang (not much metal in that car) and using only five watts.

On more than one occasion, I could hear my home repeater breaking squelch in the North Carolina mountains from Florida. Also started hearing conversations on the home repeater from about 100 miles on the way back.

I did stick an extra piece of plastic auto scuff guard (its like thick tape) on the bottom to offset the super powerful magnet. Removal is difficult and unless the antenna is tilted or slid off a metal surface correctly, you could pull the insides out of the base. Adding the scuff guard helps and does not interfere with performance. Other commercial magnetic bases use this material as well.

Can hardly be seen on the car. Great to ward off theft and make the wife happy!

Simplicity and works well  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Have this antenna for about 2 week.
Very light and portable. handy and useful.
Seems it could be a little delicate if abused, but very handy for a HT.
I use it with a cookie pan at home as a ground, pan is rectangular and very directional. Long dimension of iron pan is about 1/4 wave length on 2 meters. works well. pan is portable.
And also on top of car.
Radio performance is quite good, especially on the car and when the cookie pan is pointing in the right direction.
Comes with SMA connection, light, portable, inexpensive, powerful.
