Great Analog Scanner !!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
This is a fine addition to the currant Analog Scanners on the market, One of the best in my opinion. Great receive capability,,Great sounding, clear, loud speaker..Great Display, with the addition of a signal strength meter,,easy to read at night, and with the included backlite keypad. Keys are well laid out, and look very professional, and very responsive when pressed..I tried 2 diferent R.S. pro-164 model scanners, which are to basically be the same scanner, But While the Pro-164 is a decent scanner, The Psr-300 seems much better in the performance department. The Gre Psr-300 just picks up more Freq's for me and most are pretty clear transmissions...I highly recommend this Scanner !!

Perfection  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
The PSR-300 is basically the second coming of the Pro-97. The Pro-97 was an excellent scanner, but the PSR-300 corrected the few flaws that the Pro-97 did have, which brings it about as close to perfection as an analog scanner can achieve.

As far as a pure analog scanner goes, you really can do no wrong with the PSR-300.

User upgradeable firmware, an added signal strength meter, 700Mhz band coverage, improved volume and squelch knobs, better sounding built in speaker, better looking display, and improved reception are all reasons to make any Pro-97 owners run out and purchase this scanner..

This scanner is also available at Radio Shack as the Pro-164, although they made this version look a lot more like the Pro-97..
