Very Precise!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I met Tony at Dayton this year displaying his keys from the back of his car. I had spent quite a bit of time at the Bengali booth and really liked the Sculpture key ($550.00). I didn't really want to drop that much on a key but I thought they were nice. On Saturday as I was browsing the flea market area, I found Tony and took a look at all his keys he brought with him. I found I liked his keys just as well as the Bengali's. I was a bit disappointed that he didn't have any to take home with me but he said he would honor the Dayton prices for a week. I bought the ZN-9A and I have to say I like it better than the Bengali Sculpture I admired for half a day at Dayton. It is solid as a rock and I had to clean up my Bencher hand as it is extreamly precise. I was also surprised at how small the key is. Tony makes QRP portable keys that are smaller than this one, But this would be very easy to take along on a trip. It weighs around 3 pounds so it doesn't slide at all on the desk. It also comes with the wires installed and ready to plug in and operate. Lets face it, Good keys are expensive and Tony makes great keys and the price was very resonable. You would get close to getting two N3ZN keys for the cost of one Bengali. This will not be my last N3ZN as he has several others I am interested in. You will not be disappointed in any of these keys. They are top notch! Thanks Tony for this work of art!

Fits like a glove  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Last year I converted from a straight key to a iambic key. That was an experience many ears
wish they had not heard on the air... But, as
time goes by, one's fist improves. And then,
there is the ZN-9A!! Whoa, what a difference
this key makes - - Tony has the golden touch!
You have to own one of his keys to appreciate
the craftmanship involved. "I" know where my
next key will come from...

Most Excellent  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I've only had this key a week but man what a difference. This thing is sweet and smooth as butter and the finger piece height is just right for me. I like a light touch so when I placed my order I asked Tony to set it up for a very light touch and very tight clearance on the contacts. It arrived just that way and was a thrill to work right out of the box. I have repeatedly fiddled and diddled with my Bencher and Vibroplex to get them just the way I wanted but there was always something just not quite right. In addition to that, the settings seem to move when tightening the locking devices.
Another amazing thing about the ZN keys, you get excellent quality, a beautiful piece of equipment and for a price that is unbelievable. You can pay an awful lot more for keys but I can't understand why you would do so. Only problem I have now is that since my grandson has tried it out he is not happy with the Bencher and Vibroplex I offered him. hi

Fabulous  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I am a new ham. I am learning cw and was very fortunate to have come across Tony's paddles on eham.

I have looked at a number of keys that are out there including Bencher,Kent, etc. The zn-9a is by far the best. It has a nice feel and I didn't have to adjust it at all from out of the box. It came very well packed. The workmanship is excellent. Tony is obviously a very good cw himself and has produced a fine instrument and an artwork.

It's been a pleasure in dealing with Tony.

I'll probably get a second one from Tony in the near future.

Thanks Tony for a fantastic key.

My second ZN key  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
WOW! Is all I can say about this new ZN-9A key. I have one of Tony's ZN-4A keys and am in love with it. You can look at my reviews under the ZN-4A. This key is about 1/4 inch closer to the desk top and Tony put the finger pieces on the inside of the arms for me. This is the perfect key for me. With the finger pieces on the inside I don't make extra dots now when running QRQ at 30+ WPM. Now I have both of Tony's keys here on the desk plugged into the radios and the Begali, Schurr, and GHD keys set up on the shelf. Thanks again Tony for making such a great key.
