Description: These high performance low-pass filters are designed for the "Lowfer" enthusiast to reduce interference from MW broadcast signals (and higher frequencies). These LPF are inserted between the antenna and receiver (may be used with a transceiver that will NOT transmit RF). For the 500 Khz filter, any signal above 530 kHz is heavily attenuated. Signals below 500 kHz pass with virtually no attenuation. There are several destinguished characteristics to the Kiwa 500 kHz Low Pass Filter that provide a level of performance apart from other designs. These are:
The design is completely passive to eliminate any possibility of noise or distortion being introduced to the receiver.
The design uses high Q torroidal inductors to provide an extremely sharp filter response.
High Ultimate Rejection
The filter is housed in an rf tight/shielded cast aluminum enclosure.
