One of the very best

This is one big, weighty SWR/Power meter. I could be wrong, but I think Daiwa introduced the cross-hair style of auto reading meter to the radio amateur market.
I have had it for many years and it continues to be one of the most accurate meters I have ever used. The large display makes it easy to read, especially if your eyesight is getting a bit on the weak side, as mine is.
I removed the two 'feet' which push it up at an angle. I find the flat configuration more attractive and convenient. Particularly if it is on an eye-level shelf, The stainless-steel front panel may be a bit dated these days but so what! This thing is as solid as the Rock of Gibralter. Rather than use the calibration-type meter on my fine Kenwood TS-200 tuner, I put the Daiwa in line and ignore the Kenwood.
If you manage to find one used on e-bay or any private sale, snap it up. You won't be sorry.

This is a very high quality meter that covers 1.8 to 150 MHZ. Covers 3 power ranges (20w, 200w, and 2kw). This is definately one of the better Daiwa meters that were produced and very much sought after on the secondhand market today.
The only other meter worthy of 1st place and attention is my Bird 43.
