Description: The Fred Fish Memorial Award (FFMA) is awarded for confirming contact with all 488 Maidenhead grid squares in the 48 contiguous United States of America on the 6 meter (50 MHz) ham radio band. This award is administered by the American Radio Relay League. The FFMA award is available to all amateurs worldwide. For amateurs in the United States, Puerto Rico and United States posessions ARRL membership is required. Only contacts that took place on January 1, 1983 and thereafter may be counted for the FFMA.
All contacts for this award must have taken place from locations no more than 200 KM apart.
A number plaque will be awarded to each person who qualifies for this award.
