Excellent mixer; high quality and very low price!
|
Time owned: 6 to 12 months

You will not believe it: such an excellent mixer for such a low price. I paid only 109 euro for the Behringer 1202FX and see what you get... I really cannot understand how it is possible to manufacture such a mixer for this price and with this quality!
I use two microphones: Heil HC-5, Heil PR-40 and one headset: Heil Proset-5 with the Behringer. It is hard to believe how many features this mixer offers. The XLR-input is very useful, so are all the level controls.
Audio reports are excellent with all three the microphones I use with the 1202FX in combination with my rigs (Icom IC-775DSP, Icom IC-7400, Yaesu FT-950 and Elecraft K3 ordered).
I am very very satisfied with this mixer!
Forget the rest, unless you want to pay much more than is necessary.

Great first mixer
|
Time owned: 3 to 6 months
|
Let me start by stating that im not a technician or sound engineer, so this is not a technical review.Instead this is one operators opinion of this product.
I feel this mixer makes a great base for the audio enthusiast or first time mixer for audio experimenters.I feel the mixer is a great investment for the operator with a collection of mikes (makes changing connected mics a breeze),or the casual operator with an average mike and wishes to make improvements. It also makes a great starting point for interfacing mics to rear of radio or other pieces of rack equiptment.
The mixer featues xenyx mic preamps (awesome) on each mic input, 3 band eq's (High-Mid-Low) with low cut filter on each input and of course 100 real world effects to round the package off.Bad points (my views only) include flat viewing angle for a desk mixer and no on-off power switch. But these points are soon negated when you see the price.
So bang for buck ($199 Aust) this mixer is as good as it gets for radio purposes and will more than fulfill the average operators requirements.Being a desk mixer makes it ideal for quick mic changes and adjustments on the fly.Check Behringers prices and range and judge for yourself.
Regards and 73's
