Very good for the money

Time owned: 3 to 6 months

After a couple of frustrating months chasing FM sats without a preamp I tried this one. It does a great job, pulling in clear copy where there was just hiss before. Far better than the Mirage KP-1-440 (about 3-4 S units better). The Mirage also didnt resist overload very well, which was an issue for full duplex.
On thing to watch for though is not to Xmit into it. I fried it easily just by bumping the mic unintentionally. ARR fixed it within 10 days and working just fine again.
Bought a second one with switching (SP432VDG @ $119) for back yard use with my HT and a handheld antenna. It can only handle 25 watts but thats fine for the HT and it gives me that protection from carelessness and stupidity I needed. So far no disappointments.
