Must-Have for Ham Radio History

Easily the most interesting, readable and informative book on the history of amateur radio in the United States up through the early 1960s. Collects a series of articles published in QST in 1964 to honor the 50th anniversary of the American Radio Relay League. Covers operating, regulations, equipment, etc. by decade with pictures, advertisements, etc. Long out-of-print but usually available at reasonable prices at such used book sources as bookfinder.com, ebay, etc. The hard covers book issued by ARRL on its 75th anniversary in 1989 was not a successful effort. Let's hope the League shines once more in honoring its 100th anniversary in 2014!
