A Class Act!!

Competent, Professional, Friendly and Reasonably Priced and Timely!! Very helpful when it comes to common sense approach to the issue of rebuild/refurb versus repair.Honest appraisal designed to protect and preserve great equipment, and candid evaluations of cost versus benefit.
An excellent experience: I received my KWM-2 in superb condition and made new friends! What more could you ask? Highly favored and Highly recommended!

A SATISFIED CUSTOMER

Peter has repaired and updated my KWM-2A, 516F-2 power supply which now works better than it ever had. He handled the sale of a 51S-1A receiver and gave me technical help on a 30L-1. His prices are better than most places and his work is well done and he stands by his work.
Peter was helpful in getting mother rigs to Howard W3HM for work on them. He is a real helpful person.
Peter and I have become friends and I enjoy talking to him about radio equipment

A rebuilder dedicated to quality service

I had a 32S3 transmitter and 516F2 power supply which I bought new and stored away for 38 years.
Both now needed a recap, some tubes, PTO adjustment, ceramic socket and resistor.
He also updated the power supply to function properly with 120V input. Peter provided a professionally written data sheet indicating the power out on each band, a list of materials used in the restoration. He connected the transmitter in his immaculate work room and demonstrated the output on a scope and wattmeter.
I was so happy with this experiance that I gave him the transmitters mate, the 75S3, to recap and tune-up. I just received it back with the same professional service. He now has my R390A for recapping and updating.
I consider myself fortunate to have found Peter and his well run restoration business.

Peter recently returned my Collins 32S-3, 75S-3B, and 516F-2 power supply. When I shipped the equipment to him, it was working OK, but I was not satisfied. The performance of the equipment has dramatically improved and I am quite happy. There were some major problems with work in the power supply performed by a previous owner and Peter cleaned these up. He also made some upgrades to avoid potential future problms that have been identified. I highly recommend K2LRC for restoration work on your prized Collins equipment.

Ditto to the two previous posts.
Peter repaired a much-abused ex-Maryland ANG 2A for me three years ago when I was living in Baltimore and did an excellent job.
Visiting his shack is a must!!!

A GREAT SMALL SHOP

Peter, K2LRC, has rebuilt a KWM-2 and a 30L1 for me and he has tested a few non-Collins Amplifiers as well. He is a one man shop and is well stocked with professional Test gear and he has many years of experience. I have been very happy the work that he performed and the rigs are working well.

I am fortunate that I am within reasonable driving distance of such a excellent repair facility. Peter/K2LRC recently repaired (while I waited) a problem with my 30L-1 Amplifier.
Quick service and fair pricing. He has also reworked/painted several S-Line cases for me in the past. Top Quality workmanship. While waiting for my 30L-1 to be repaired, I was able to observe his methods/procedures and some of the finest test equipment I have ever seen.
I can recommend the "Collins Rebuilders" without hesitation.
