Some cheap Scanner
|
Time owned: more than 12 months
|
I bought this Scanner Years ago new for 179 DM (Deutsche Mark), before our Currency changed from DM (Deutsche Mark) to Euro. Today that money would be about 90 Euro. Mine has the Serial-Number C004212.
Stronger Signals nearby the listening Frequncy give a lot of QRM and on a Hilltop when the Signals come in even stronger, this Problem becomes MASSIVE (even with that small Rubber-Duck Antenna). A Scanner even in this Price class shouldnt be that bad.
The Receiver is not sensitive like the FT-817ND and fails to pick up Signals the FT-817ND can hear strong and clear. However, I could hear a local Repeater with this Scanner and some other local Stations.
The pin in the external Power Supply Slot broke long time ago, although I handle Equipment carefully, CHEAP JUNK !
