Reviews Summary for LP-PAN
LP-PAN Reviews: 11 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $175 Kit, $225 Assembled.
Description: LP-PAN is a software defined panadapter which is optimized for the Elecraft K3. It provides the best of both worlds. the world class performance of the K3, linked to the best SDR application, PowerSDR. Features include realtime spectrum or waterfall display, point-and-click graphic tuning, one click band and mode control, automatic K3 IF/DSP offset tracking, dual receiver capability (w/o the need for KRX3), and more. LP-PAN comes with LP-Bridge software, which provides simultaneous sharing of the K3 and multiple rig control programs such as loggers, CW Skimmer, PSK programs and others. LP-PAN is also available for older Kenwoods and TenTec Orion

Outstanding Product!  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
In my opinion, this is one of the best accessories a person can get for the Elecraft K3! This product, along with PowerSDR IF stage from WU2X, combines some of the best features of Windows based SDR, including bandscope with point and click tuning, with the world's best performance of the K3. It is now possible to have the best of both world's! Tune with knobs or no knobs! Click on a signal in the bandscope, and almost instantly the K3 tunes to that frequency. Or tune with the K3's knobs and PowerSDR will track the frequency in the bandscope as you tune. The computer is now an accessory to the radio, and not the radio. Your not limited to software or hardware control.

I use mine with a EMU-0202 Sound card and, in my opinion, the performance easily beats that of the SDR-1000 I used to own. No spurs, no visible "dc hump" on the bandscope. And if you prefer, you can use PowerSDR as a receiver and not just a panadapter. Audio fidelity is outstanding when using PowerSDR/LP-PAN in this way. In fact, the PowerSDR/LP-PAN combo can be used as a 2nd receiver inside the 192 Khz bandwidth of the sound card. Listen to the K3 on one frequency, use PowerSDR/LP-PAN to listen on a 2nd frequency. It is almost like having 2 different receivers in one!

To me, the K3 with LP-PAN is an outstanding, if not unbeatable, combo!
