Works ok on 442-449.9

This rig works pretty well within the repeater bands but totally lacks sensitivity down in the 434 region for satellite work. I have lost the panel lights and would like to replace them but after taking the rig apart I could not find how to get at the bulbs. No documentation other than the owners (operators) manual seems to be available.

owned this radio for about 8 years been reliable ran packet for several years with it seems to hear ok does get warm on hi power after a while only thing thats failed are the bulbs for the display replaced for £2 myself no probs. would buy again

Good Radio for the bucks

I like everything about it but three things.
First, I find the mike a little smallish, doesn't make the radio hard to operate.
Second, it gets pretty warm on high.
Third, I don't like the internal speaker, it has decent audio. But the audio sounds kinda tinny and hollow. You can certainly hear the difference between this radio and my other ones.

Excellent radio. Good power, but gets a little warm on high. Easy to take out of band. Great RX sensitivity. Good sounding audio. Five thumbs up! (or whatever)
