im not 15 years, im 40. but i like the radio also veryvery much because its as simple i like and as sophisticatet all the hams like.
proper functions, back lit (great) easy to use. a real BASIC radio!
owe it since 2 years would never sell it. if you can get one, grabb it!
new or s/h

i agree 100% with you! the only thing is that it is getting very hot when txing with 5w a while. but thats it, i like it too!

I got this thing on Christmas 96'... Oh man how this thing looked... Looked like something from the military.. It just lit up the room with it's eliteness. 5 watts total output power, (modified) 400-479.995 Mhz Recieve and Transmit. CTCSS, Dual, Memory, Memory scan, Page, back lit display (not cheap at all)... Man I love this thing! Just the look of it will identify you as a bad m0f0. But then again... I could be wrong... but with a handheld hamradio like this... You would take the chance. I LOVE THIS THING!!!
