I first came across some of these taken down by a county 911 agency. These are solid aluminum elements, heavy boom and stainless mounting hardware. These are some of the few antennas that can survive 100 MPH plus winds while still coated with ice. They are made primarily for 450-470 MHz but have a good match all the way down to 442 MHz. They are ideal for repeater linking, etc. Great antenna, see for yourself.
