One of the poorest product designs I've seen in the ham market  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I recently bought one of these antenna mounts for my hf mobile set up.After a couple of weeks the chrome on the washers and stud started to
rust and the SWR at resonance rose. The other bolts used in the assembly had also rusted. I took the mount apart to find that the coax
connections are based on clamping a small piece of braid and the centre conductor with the 3/8 nut, a washer and the body of the mount.
The connections cover a very small area and there is no weather sealing of any kind - so they deteriorate rapidly. Whoever designed
this mount clearly took no account of the environment in which it is to be used. In my opinion the mount is an appalling design that is
totally unsuited to use outside - and a mobile mount that can only be used indoors is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot!
