Not Bad

I got a couple of these refurbished on Amazon for $5 each plus shipping. Audio is good though somewhat bassy which eliminates hiss. Many shortwave stations come in well and the swivel antenna really needs to be retracted some to reduce the signal. AM works fine and on FM I've received some stations I have trouble separating using an S-350. The only downside I've found is the volume control slider of the side of the radio that's hard to control.

5 band SW with AM/FM. I got a used one off of Ebay, and was rather disappointed with its weak reception on SW. The Humane alarm system is cool, and the world time setting is nice for travelling, allowing one to keep in touch with domestic time at home. No dial light makes night time listening almost impossible. Totally analog, which is fine, but again, the reception on shortwave is just not what I expect from a Grundig product. I even had bleedover from a strong local AM station on the shortwave bands. That is rather irrating to say the least. The Grundig Traveller III (Grundig RK 709) is a much better radio, although the Traveller II has the cleaner lines. One other thing; the Traveller II seems to have a tinny and weak speaker. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good radio, but not what I expect from a Grundig.
