I use this with my Icom 718. I run the mike through a Behringer MIC800 for the 48v phantom power and some sound shaping. I have been told by everyone that it sounds much better than my SM-20 Icom mike. Very punchy sound to get through on DX. Helps with pileups. Both pieces together cost less than the Icom mike alone. Great stuff those Germans make. WØNWT
