Create custom SSB and CW audio preset filters  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
While perusing software at the nearby Apple Store, I came across this general purpose real-time audio DSP package. The software can be used to build custom preset audio filters for SSB, CW and other modes.

I use Hear with my RF Space SDR-IQ in Windows XP in Parallels on an Intel iMac. The throughput is excellent, almost no latency. Hear adds the ability to apply any or all of the dozen user adjustable audio criteria in combination with the steep skirts and bandwidth control of an SDR receiver to peak, improve and further enhance received signals. For example, you can create preset filter sets to null either or both ends of the SSB passband. A click on the preset removes the adjacent interference.

One particularly useful feature of Hear is the 10 to 96 band equalizer, which can be set by software sliders or by clicking and dragging the contours of an on-screen curve to make real-time adjustments to the received signal. (version 1.0.3 reviewed)
