This is an improved product listed as a desktop/mobile scanner.This is a more complex scanner than the previous models. Use the owners manual as you get use to it! Introduced on Radio Shack website in Dec.2008 and removed by years end. Now available @ website but scarce in stores. Made by Uniden with Radio Shack label.
