Great little GPS with very fast acquistion  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I was looking for a replacement (newer) GPS for use with my TH-D7A. Most of the newer GPSs have a miniUSB interface and do not seem to be compatible with the D7. However, Garmin has a PC Data cable for the Rino that converts the miniUSB to RS232. The Oregon 300 and 400 series can be configured to output a NEMA signal and when used with the Rino cable and the Kenwood cable and a null modem the GPS works with the D7A. You can download great topo and street data from GPSFileDepot to the GPS. Would like to give it a 4.5. Has a few Garmin quirks, they are still releasing software updates. Garmin's PC software interface could be better. Now if someone would just make a direct cable to connect the two!
