Output is NMEA at 4800 baud with GPRMC, GPGGA, and GPGLL sentences. Waypoint input is accepted in GPWPL or Kenwood proprietary format. I ordered the cable for the TM-D710 Kenwood and my Garmin 350. The first cable had a problem and after many hours of Scott Miller trying to help me, he decided to send a new one. Not only did he send it in 24 hours, he included the return postage to get the old one back to see what happened. Scott is number one in customer service a rare item these days.
Anyone who is not good at making custom cables should buy the GTRANS cable from Argent.

I use this adaptor cable to connect a Garmin Nuvi 350 to a Kenwood TM-D710 or a TH-D7, and it works beautifully.
It means that with one GPS receiver I can send and receive APRS data, showing people where I am and plotting received stations on the Garmin screen, and it will also navigate me where I'm going, including to a place (say a Radio Rally) that sends its position via APRS.
Highly recommended if you want to do the same!

This allows APRS enthusiasts to use common off the shelf Garmin products which do not support NMEA.
I connected my Kenwood D710 to a Garmin nuvi 360...it works well.
