Shows local and GMT  Time owned: more than 12 months
The trouble with GMT clocks is they aren't there when away from the shack. I decided on a dual time wristwatch instead.

10 year battery (Casio's webpage rates battery life for their various models: 10 years seems to be the longest, other models are only 2).

Databank: Carries major phone numbers and passwords along when the cell phone or written list is missing.

G-Shock: Better shock and h2o resistance. A stronger band that will last. Mineral glass dial won't scratch.

Online manuals: Casio has all their manuals online keyed to the module number (these are 3 or 4 digits engraved on the back of the watch inside a cartouche).

Dual display: GMT and local displayed simultaneous in World Time Mode. Or alternately the Timekeeping Mode instead shows date and day and local (no GMT). A simple press of the left lower button toggles the mode. What could be easier? Normally I use Timekeeping. And switch to Worldtime when near a radio. The timer and stopwatch modes are ignored.

I was led to the 2900 series by a report that Iraq GI's preferred that very model.
