After first posting my first review i have had time to operate my vrc321 which as been modified to incorparate lower side band.
the set up i running is the high power version known as the vrc-322 which is the vcr321 with a clansman 300w linear added.
I mainly use the set on 80m a.m. but have used it on most bands and modes.
for general band scanning this is not really good set for but for set frequencies its great, the reciever is very good and i get very good reports back on my signal and audio even when i operate qrp at 40w.
the lower side band mod is well worth doing as it makes the set more usable on 160,80 and 40m.
