Really excellent upgrade

I've been using the microHAM USB Interface II since 2007 and am thoroughly satisfied! It is definitely one of the very best computer-rig interfaces I've even heard of.
The Interface III adds a standalone soundcard over USB. This means that I'm no longer at the mercy of my laptop's pretty mediocre built-in audio. It has made a real difference to decoding weak PSK signals and other digital modes.
Definitely a recommended upgrade! As an earlier reviewer noted, you won't even have to change the cables or plugs.

Great new product

Upgraded after many happy years with the USB II. Was tired hassling with the XP mixer. USB III provides CAT for the rig and has an on-board sound card with pots for TX and RX level control!
Having had the USB II, configuring the new one was easy – same jumper settings and cable hookups. Software install was a breeze. Per Joe, un-install the old software and do a complete new install from the provided CD. It was that simple. The on-board sound card is MUCH better than my notebook card. Decodes much weaker signals. And having the ability to trim TX levels mid transmission makes keeping the IMD where it should be a breeze, especially on quick band changes.
Priced well below other interfaces that provide rig control, and a having a high quality on-board sound card, the microHAM USB III is definitely a winner.

I teceived the box well pacaged and shipped.
Looking at the radio cable, it was well made and marked. The supplied USB cable was nice Also.
Installing the software was easy, just follow the instructions which were are well written.
I printed out a copy to have by my side while installing. It works well with Ham Radio Delux,
MMTTY, DX4WIN & CT.
Joe is quick with tech support.
I'm very happy with it.
Hopefully see you on the waterfall soon.
