AAA+ / update below...

Unit is well built.
I am in a deed restricted area....installed the windom at height of 35 feet. Ran each leg to a tree in front / back yard. With tuner....antenna is 1.1 or 1.2 from 160m to 10m. Not able to conduct extensive tests here...... but the unit works for me...!! Running a Kenwood TS-830s with AT-230 tuner.
Also...pls note....EFAB is now closing their business, per the webpage:
http://www.efabantenna.com
I have been pleased with their product....

Works Great!

I recently purchased and installed the 80-6 Windom antenna from Antenna Solutions/EFab.
First impressions were that the unit is well built, and attention to detail was taken. I had emailed their sales group with some questions before my purchase, and they were quick to respond and were very helpful.
I installed the antenna in an inverted V configuration with the apex at 41 feet above ground. I noticed right away that receive was much better than the 40-6 Windom that this antenna replaced. The first night of operations I was hearing countries I had not heard before. And I continue to hear dx that was previously not heard.
SWR is acceptable (3:1 or less) on all bands 80 to 6 as advertised. I simply use my internal tuner to trim down the SWR to 1:1 as needed. I did have to shorten the long leg a few feet, but as stated in another review, they leave the legs a little long for you to prune as needed. Interestingly enough, after I shortened the long leg by about 3 feet, 160 m is now about a 2:1 on the lower portion! I didn’t expect that, but now I have a second antenna for 160 if needed.
I was a little skeptical of this antenna, but I have used the Windom type antennas for years and have had good luck with them, so I thought I would give this one a try. I have to say it exceeded my expectations, and this is definitely a keeper. I would not hesitate to buy another antenna from Antenna Solutions/Efab.

Well made antenna

I recently replaced a Carolina Windom with the 80-10 windom manufactured by Antenna Solutions. This is an exceptionally well made wire antenna that is constructed with quality components and is simple to put into service. The manufacturer provides plenty of extra wire, in case you need to trim it for your particular location, and the instructions are straightforward and clearly written. No assembly is necessary. Although I doubt that it will perform better than comparable windom antennas, my guess is that it will outlive many of them. The 5:1 balun seems to be very robust and is weatherized to keep moisture out. The SWR ranges from a maximum of 3:1 on 80 meters, to less than 2:1 on all other bands. Having once owned a Fritzel windom, I’d say that this antenna compares very favorably with that German made product.
