There are better choices

I'm going to give this PSU a tough review.
The unit does do what it is designed for - to provide well regulated 13.8V. I've got no problem there. The issue is the darn fan which cycles on/off frequently even when supplying low current. It's a noisy fan - far noisier than it needs to be. I've replaced this PSU with an Astron and a switch mode Manson.

Nice, could be improved

Works well but I find the fan's noise annoying when listening to weak HF stations (the fan cycles on and off even if the load is only an amp or two).

Great Linear Power Supply
|
Time owned: 0 to 3 months
|
It is a great linear power supply. The manufacture is very good, the knob allows you to fix the voltage at 13.8V, also the noise is low when operating. The cooling fan turns on automatically when inside reaches a certain temperature. This power supply is ideal for 100W transceiver.
