OK Power Supply but loud, loud fan.  Time owned: more than 12 months
The PS-300 is a linear power supply. It provides 25A continuous (30A on peaks) and has adjustable output voltage 1-15 V DC. It has a nice layout and I particularly like the large voltage and current meters. Overall, the power supply works fine with my ICOM IC-7410 transceiver.

I bought it new and had intended to use it with my ICOM IC-2820H VHF/UHF transceiver that draws 1.2A on receive. However, that proved impossible because the fan cycles on/off frequently (even at this low current) and it is really LOUD.

I have thus kept this power supply with my ICOM IC-7410 transceiver at the summer house. This has been tolerable, since I have not been much QRV from there. Now that I will be spending more time there, I will need to replace the original fan with the “Duratec Silent Case Fan Model YX-2570” as is suggested by other reviewers.

I would not suggest other hams to buy this power supply unless the fan issue has been resolved. Other than that it has worked flawlessly and I thus justify giving it 4 out of 5.

Excellent Power Supply  Time owned: more than 12 months
I agree with all reviews in relation to the noisy fan,and mine was no exception.
However i replaced the fan with a Duratech Silent Case Fan Model YX2570.
This fan comes with rubber mounts, and is of identical dimensions to the original so no alterations to the position of the mounting holes was required.
It took about 1/2 an hour to complete the job,and now with the p/s on the bench alongside the transceiver it is difficult to hear the fan at all,BLISS!!

There are better choices  Time owned: more than 12 months
I'm going to give this PSU a tough review.

The unit does do what it is designed for - to provide well regulated 13.8V. I've got no problem there. The issue is the darn fan which cycles on/off frequently even when supplying low current. It's a noisy fan - far noisier than it needs to be. I've replaced this PSU with an Astron and a switch mode Manson.

Nice, could be improved  Time owned: more than 12 months
Works well but I find the fan's noise annoying when listening to weak HF stations (the fan cycles on and off even if the load is only an amp or two).

Great Linear Power Supply  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
It is a great linear power supply. The manufacture is very good, the knob allows you to fix the voltage at 13.8V, also the noise is low when operating. The cooling fan turns on automatically when inside reaches a certain temperature. This power supply is ideal for 100W transceiver.
