Excellent

I recently put this lovely little rig together and I have become very fond of it. For the price I am quite amazed at it's performance. Kit went together very easily and support from Steve G6ALU is excellent. If you want to become involved in QRP and to put on the air something you have built yourself, then this rig is the way to go. Very highly recommended.

Innovative 80 Meter transceiver kit

Time owned: 6 to 12 months

Innovative design features especially the frequency lock feature highlight this simple to construct and bullet-proof little 80 Meter SSB transceiver kit. The kit comes to you complete and ready to build with a clean, silk-screened PCB layout and all the parts. Assembly is fast and results are excellent. "Service" is only an email away with quick answers from Steve and lots of help from the MKARS80 email reflector. This is a good buy especially for us US hams. 73, John WA6YSY in NW Washington state USA

Superb little thing!

This really is a benchmark by which other kits should be measured .
From the superb documentation through the packaging of the components to the excellent PCB there is nothing you can fault.
It's not a kit for the first time builder nor for someone who hates winding toroids but for the rest of us it's a pure joy to build.
The final item is absolutely brilliant.
The receiver performs like that of a unit costing 10 times as much and the transmitted signal is clean and sweet.
Worth every penny!

Brilliant !

An easy build, high quality kit that delivers the goods. Excellent kit supplied with all components and parts, with a Yahoo Group to support the builder. Easy build in the "Heathkit" style, resulting in a very pleasing 80m SSB Transceiver, with good RX performance and 5 - 6 Watts of RF.
Superb value for money at about 60 GBP for the kit.
