Very good value  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Just purchased at K7LED W.Washington swapmeet.

This is a cottage-industry type flexible J-pole fabricated from 300-ohm twinlead, with about 5.5' of RG-174 feedline terminated in a BNC connector. Also available with SMA and PL-259 connectors. The junction of the feedline to the twinlead is covered in heat-shrink, but some of the braid was sticking out. I wrapped the exposed part with electrical tape.

The accompanying handout warns against attaching the "top" end to anything metal, or using a metal-headed thumbtack. I strung it up to the kitchen windowsill using a plastic-headed bulletin board pin and checked SWR: 2:1 at 144.0 and 148.0, and 1.0:1 at 146.0.

No complaints. I'll use it with my HT on motorcycle tours.
