Got this Amplifier to use with my Yaesu FT-817 for Contests. I contest as a rover in most VHF contests. The amp is small works like a charm. The preamp is adjustable. The unit draws 5 amp's max so I can take it a small gel cell the 817 and my elk log yagi walk to the top of a hill.
For the QSO that I can't get from the car. Easy to buy direct from the factory fast shipping. I got mine for $110.00 shipped to my door.
